Congratulations go to seven middle school band students. They participated in a six- hour Honors Band rehearsal held at Streetsboro Middle School on Thursday, November 15, 2007. They performed in concert on Friday, November 16, 2007.

Bolich Band Participants were: George Curfman, bassoon, Savanna Florkowski, oboe, Vince Leiter, trumpet, and Apryl Tidd, flute.

Roberts Band Participants were: Grace Adolphson, tuba, Ashley Cottrill, flute, and Daniel Tonkin, French horn. They came home ready to share the exciting event with all the band students. They also brought home great ideas to use during band rehearsals. We are proud of their accomplishments!

Middle School Band Daily Schedule
The 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grade bands are participating in a rehearsal plan that supports the music curriculum standards upheld by the state of Ohio. This plan provides a way for the students to continue learning new concepts, ensemble skills, and also provides time for the students to experience a variety of music styles. 

The 6^th grade bands have full band on Mondays. Tuesdays they divide into woodwind sectional and brass/percussion sectional. On Wednesdays they have full rehearsal. On Thursdays they are involved with woodwind/brass rehearsal while the percussionists have a sectional. On Friday they experience full band rehearsal.

7^th and 8^th grade bands are using the following rehearsal/sectional plan:

Monday – Full rehearsal
Tuesday – Woodwind sectionals and brass/percussion sectionals
Wednesday – Woodwinds/brass rehearsal and percussion sectional
Thursday – Jazz band and Instrumental Enrichment class
Friday – Full rehearsal

Roberts Middle School Band Winter Concert:

Wednesday, December 12 at Cuyahoga Falls High School Auditorium  7PM

Bolich Middle School Band Winter Concert:

Tuesday, December 18 at Cuyahoga Falls High School Auditorium 7PM

The concerts will be held at CFHS auditorium. Each concert will begin at 7:00 P.M. The students need to be at the high school on the night of the concert no later than 6:30 P.M. Each student should wear concert attire: Band Polo Shirt, Khaki (tan) slacks, dark shoes or tennis shoes. A truck will be provided to transport larger instruments to and from CFHS. Students are expected to sit together as a group and remain until the end of the program.
